What is nose tip aesthetics?
Tipplasty is a surgical procedure performed to correct the deformity (asymmetry, width, lowness, nose stuck in the nose) that occurs at the tip of the nose. Nose tip aesthetics are surgical interventions and belong to the field of rhinoplasty. In this process, a new view is given to the nose with relatively less intervention. In this type of nasal surgery, unlike nasal reduction, bone tissue is not removed.
Only soft tissue and cartilage are removed to reshape the tip of the nose, and in some cases cartilage grafts (for example, cartilage from the nasal septum) can also be used. In this way, the tip of the nose can be changed in many ways. In the context of nose tip aesthetics, it is possible to both reduce and enlarge, but also to raise or lower the nose tip.
Nose tip rhinoplasty procedures concentrate on the soft parts of the nose and include skin, paired lateral cartilage and subcutaneous tissue.
Tipplasty – Nose Tip Surgery
It is often associated with raising the tip of the nose to shorten the nose and thus maintain a younger image. Cartilage at the tip of the nose is corrected under general anesthesia with an operation that takes an average of an hour. Since soluble stitches are used, stitching is not applied. It may interfere with the side cartilage to increase or decrease the protrusion at the desired level. Other operations include the rotation of the tip, the angle between the tip and the upper lip, the width of the nose tip and the holes.
What is the healing process in nose tip surgery?
As nose tip surgery is a comfortable procedure, no special restrictions are required except for sports with a risk of collision and sunbathing for the first few months. A slight illness may be felt for 24 hours after surgery. The bands on the nose are removed 5-7 days after the operation, and the approximate shape of the nose begins to appear after the 3rd week. General results can be seen in an average of three months.
